Dr Oz Books

Who had heard of Dr. Oz before he wrote his first book? As with most celebrity doctors, chefs, psychologists, commentators, analysts, pundits, candidates and others who are able to land their own television shows and build their media empires, it all started with a book. If your career or business plans include a launch to the next level, you need a book.

Your biography, memoir, business, inspirational or other book is important, and chances are, you have little or no experience writing a book or being published. Rachael Ray Books

Rachael Ray knew that her career was stagnant at a local TV station where she was barely paid enough to cover the cost of food on her show, and that if she was ever going to take it to the next level, she needed a book. She did everything in her power to get a book written and released, and that became her “entree” into the world of national broadcast television.

Hummingbird Prophecy

Lorijane Graham has  lived in Virginia for 20 years and has 23 years experience in Marketing and Development.  In 2005 Lorijane raised over $30,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention by walking with her team in an “Out of the Darkness walk” in Reston, Virginia.  Being the daughter of a suicidal Father and the Mother of a suicidal daughter she has fought back from the grips of suicide herself to share how she decided to live. Lorijane currently lives in Northern Virginia close to her oldest daughter and two grandchildren and continues to raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

“In 1976, I lost my father to suicide.   I was too young to understand fully the impact my father’s death would have on my life.  Back then , even if I had chosen to look for answers, there was very little in the way of resources for suicide survivors. I lost my daughter, Kaela Lynn, to suicide in 2005.   She was only 15 years old.  This time things were very different.  I needed to know why this happened.  I scoured every outlet, searched every resource to try and find the answers.  What I found is the answers don’t exist.

As opposed to other forms of tragedy, the unique grief caused by suicide will never go away.  It is absolutely crucial that you can accept that.  The feelings of guilt can be overwhelming, but because the questions you can’t help but ask  after suicide can never be answered to your satisfaction, you will never stop asking them.  They will follow you around for the rest of your life in the form of emotional baggage.  However, it is possible that by accepting their presence and learning to live around them, those questions can one day become merely rhetorical and you can accept their open-ended nature.” Lorijane Graham
